Come down, out, or up to the Waypost for an evening of inspired song discoveries made by three intrepid and committed Portland songwriters. Felix Jardini will begin the evening with their deep-delving, heart-healing songs of resonance and truth. Peter Nevins, artistic poly-math and bouzouki player, will hunt his way through the wilderness of song with open eyes and courage. Pythias Braswell, joined once again by cellist Esmé Schwall, will finish the evening by breaking himself musically into 8 or more pieces. Please join, this will be a special night.

Peter Nevins
Cut from the same cloth as modern-day troubadours like Espers, Devendra Banhart, Sufjan Stevens, and Stephin Merritt, Nevins crafts hallucinatory, ornate, modern folk music that also owes a tip of the hat to British folk luminaries like Incredible String Band, Steve Ashley, and Pentangle. - James Christopher Monger, 2010

Pythias Braswell
Pythias Braswell is the musical offering of Michael C. Hays, a poet and composer whose songs are direct, impassioned, austere, haunting and hopeful. His vocals combine the trance-induced, improvised expansions often found in devotional hymns of the world, with the structure and lyrical clarity of a Jazz-era ballad. His guitar work draws from American folk traditions until it reaches the edge and falls off into unknown regions. Hays grew up in Iowa and lives in Portland, OR.
